Roughin' it (kinda)
We went camping last weekend with Katie & Donovan near Woods Canyon Lake. It was a nice break to get out of the valley for a few days and fun to be able to hang out with them. Even though they live in the valley too we hardly ever see each other!
We've come a long way since we first started camping together. On the way home we started talking about the first camping trip we took together to Roosevelt Lake...we slept in the back of the truck and all we packed to eat was a box of ding dongs, wheat thins and a cooler of soda and water. So healthy! So it's not as rough anymore but it takes so much more time and effort to pack!

A great day in my marriage...
First a little background for this story. Justin and I like to play a little game called "What was that noise?" Variations to this game are "The window game" and "Covered wagon". This is how it's played. Whenever one of us toots, the other person asks "What was that noise?" Hence the name. The offending person then makes up any crazy story to explain it away. For example. "What was that noise?" "I think theres a squirrel in the garage." I have never in our marriage tricked Justin into actually thinking that what I said was true. Well, this afternoon we were sitting on the couch together and I had his laptop on my lap. As you can guess I let one fly but Justin didn't say anything (usually he makes sure I know he heard). Here is how our conversation went.
Me: "Did you hear that noise?"
Justin: "No, What noise?"
Me: "Your computer just made a noise."
Justin: "Really?"
Me: "Yeah, and now it's starting to smell."
I really thought he would figure it out at this point but no...he proceeds to lean over real close and take a big whiff to see what's wrong with his computer. I couldn't believe my luck because not only did he try to smell it, but as I previously mentioned, the laptop was in fact on my lap. This may not be funny to anyone else but I thought I would document it on our blog since it is definitely a day to remember. Tia 1, Justin 0.
